About the Book
This ebook is the first book in Portuguese dedicated exclusively to Adapted, Accessible, and Humanized Yoga, bringing together over 360 pages of theory, practice, and critical reflection.
It is the result of more than five years of study, lived experience, and the development of techniques that have been applied with hundreds of students around the world.

-
A tool for autonomy and dignity
-
A safe practice for diverse bodies and conditions
-
A path toward social justice and genuine inclusion
Who Is Rodrigo Souza
Rodrigo Souza is a Yoga teacher, educator, and an international reference in Adapted and Accessible Yoga.
Brazilian and living in Europe since 2003, Rodrigo integrated Yoga into his own recovery after a severe spinal cord injury that left him paraplegic.
While still in the hospital, he began his studies with Matthew Sanford, a pioneer of wheelchair Yoga and founder of Mind Body Solutions.
Later, he worked alongside Jivana Heyman, founder of Accessible Yoga, serving on the organization’s board and teaching internationally.
Guided by a humanistic, compassionate, and loving perspective inspired by Buddhist philosophy, Rodrigo devoted his life to a clear mission:
To bring Yoga to those who need it most and have the least access to it.
Today, he is the founder of the virtual studio AlliHopa, a teacher trainer in multiple countries, and a mentor to social projects. In 2026, he will inaugurate the first Adaptive Yoga Studio in Malmö, Sweden, offering free classes for people with disabilities. He is also the founder of Lhe Tenho Amor, an institute of Accessible, Adapted, and Humanized Yoga in Brazil, where he has trained hundreds of students, empowering them to serve within their own communities and expand access to Yoga in meaningful and practical ways.

Trauma-Sensitive Yoga
More than a book.
A position.
This is not just a technical manual.
It is an invitation to rethink who is included in Yoga and who has been left out for far too long.
“The mission of a Yoga teacher is to serve the person in front of them.”
If Yoga is for everyone,
teaching must be as well.
